Then a short walk to our favorite geletto and pastry shop, Bruce took a photo, and I had an almond filled flaky pastry and Bruce a double scoop of choc and one pistachio . Sat there for awhile and talked to a couple from Conn with a tour group. Said our goodbyes and off the our last stop to the cafe with the nice owners for our glass of Lemoncello . In Italy one does say goodbye but see you next year or sometime in the future.
Back to the room and wAtching a very beautiful sunset. Bruce is trying to get a photo. Door is open to the baloney and a slight breeze is coming up so the weather changing.
Spent the morning confirming reservations for the trip home. Called Hertz and they said the car lot is easy to find. We have been told that by everyone we have asked for directions from. Bruce told the rep that if we cannot find it he is leaving the car. The rep said someone would come and get us. Again, this has been the most unnerving thing on this trip. Plus not speaking Italian , really speaking and understanding for us, has been an inpetament .
So we leave around 10 a.m. should be there around noon. Say a prayer that we have a save trip
Not much else.
Take care.

Sadly your trip is coming to an end but I know you are most anxious to see your doggies and be home. I totally understand that...three years was a long time to live overseas...you do get homesick! I think you have done fantastic on this trip, meeting people, exploring and getting around. I am sure you will be able to return your call tomorrow...you are experts now!!! Can't wait to see you...love, k
